ABOUT
Hi, I’m Jo Zhao! I am a Chinese-Australian Filmmaker and Digital Artist based in Los Angeles. I completed my BA in Film and Television at UCLA where I studied Directing and Digital Media. I currently work as a freelance director and in-house video editor at Angel City FC.
With over 5 years of film production experience and a lifetime of digital art making, I’ve built a portfolio creating narrative, event, music, and commercial projects, but remain passionate about all disciplines of visual and experiential mediums. I often like to take on multiple roles to keep things interesting, including writing, producing, directing, cinematography, editing, and even choreographing.
I believe strongly in the innovative potential of digital media and want to continue exploring my passion: the intersection between unorthodox ideas and universal human feelings.
